Working with Me

If you’re at a career crossroads, or quietly wondering whether the “successful” path you’re on is actually yours, coaching can offer a steady space to listen for what’s true and move forward with integrity.

We’ll work with the full context of your life and career. Often, an outcome is an articulation of your deeper values and priorities — a “True North” orientation. It becomes a kind of compass you can return to as you decide your next steps.

How Coaching Works

Coaching is a practical partnership. We slow things down enough to get clear, then move forward with intention. We work with the full context of your life and career, including your direction and your energy, so progress is meaningful and sustainable. Together, we’ll:

See the landscape clearly

We start with what’s happening now: what’s working, what’s not, and the patterns beneath the surface story. This reduces noise and helps name the real tension you’re facing, so you can respond thoughtfully, not reactively.

Clarify your “True North”

Next, we get specific about what you actually want (not just what’s expected), and what “aligned” means in real-life terms. Often, we capture a written Purpose & Outcomes statement, a compass you can return to as you make decisions and choose next steps.

Shape and practice the path

Then, we translate clarity into lived action: experiments, conversations, boundaries, and practices that fit your context. We pay attention to what happens, learn from it together, and refine, so the change holds under real conditions.

This isn’t about forcing a big leap. It’s about building clarity, confidence, and momentum one practical step at a time.

Coaching FAQ

  • No. Coaching is future- and action-oriented. We focus on clarity, choice, and building practices that support meaningful change. Therapy typically focuses more on healing, diagnosis, or clinical mental health. If you’re unsure which is right for you, we can talk it through during a Discovery Call.

  • Thoughtful, high-performing professionals who are successful on paper but noticing a gap between their external success and their internal experience.

I work best with people who don't necessarily need a dramatic career reinvention, but rather a structured, practical space to tell the truth sooner and make grounded, sustainable moves that bring more clarity and deep satisfaction to your work — and your life.

  • The right program depends on the depth of change you’re looking for and the specific friction you’re currently facing. Here is some brief guidance to distinguish between the three lanes:

    • Illuminate - A Strategic Inflection: You’re at a crossroads and need to move forward with a high-stakes decision without the noise of overthinking.

    • Align - An Operational Reset: You’re re-examining your career assumptions, boundaries, and/or priorities to stop the burnout cycle and move forward (or stay) with integrity.

    • Re-Author - An Agency Shift: You’ve realized that "doing more" isn't solving the problem, and you're ready to unlearn the achievement habits that are now blocking your growth.

If you’re unsure, we’ll choose together during a Discovery Call.

  • Both. I work with clients via video across the U.S. and internationally, and I also meet in person in North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad.

  • What you share stays between us. I don’t record sessions or use AI or transcription tools unless we explicitly agree to it in advance. Confidentiality and trust are foundational to this work.

  • That’s exactly what the Discovery Call is for: a 30-minute, no-pressure diagnostic to see if my grounded approach matches what you're navigating. If we realize coaching isn't the right tool, or I’m not the right guide, I’ll be happy to point you toward the types of resources that might serve you better, so you don't leave the call empty-handed. My priority is right-sizing the support to match your specific challenges.

If something here resonates, we can start with a 30-minute Discovery Call to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
